XipLink to Provide Bandwidth Optimization Technology to Icces

Middle Eastern Internet service provider Icces selected bandwidth optimization technology and software from XipLink to improve the end-user Internet performance of its Saudi Arabia-based network, XipLink announced Feb. 10.
XipLink will provide XA-Series appliances, with value-added options such as a factory-installed dynamic web cache, IPSec integrated security software and XiPix compression for outbound Web optimization. Icces hopes the XipLink technology will help quadruple Icces' bandwidth throughput.
"There were a number of key determining factors in Icces' decision to select XipLink, including: the wide range of features; scalability; the significant bandwidth improvements; optimization, including quality of service; cost effectiveness and efficient implementation characteristics," XipLink Asia Sales Director Sasmith Reddi said in a statement.
